1880s

In the 1880s, we started out as humble beginnings with less than 100 acres of land in Lindenow Victoria, dairying and growing a small selection of vegetables including corn.

World War Two

As world war two set in, later on, we began to grow to fulfill the needs during the war. We started growing flax, this was often used for the manufacturing of parachute harnesses, coverings for bi-planes, and bandages for wounded soldiers.

1944

In 1944, frozen vegetables were first processed in Australia and this was a huge step for us. We committed to growing a variety of vegetables for the frozen food industry as it grew.

1950s & 1960s

After the war, in the 1950s and 1960s, Australia became very multicultural and the demand rose for food diversity. We broadened our product range to include beans, peas, and red beets.

1970s to Early 2000s

From the 1970s to the early 2000s, we continued expanding with consumer demand. Australians wanted healthier diets, we began selling to the markets and moved out of the frozen food industry. Australians yearned for more salads, so we launched our value ad factory and began to grow baby leaf products.

2000s

In the past 20 years, the rise in healthy eating and the concern for our carbon footprint has shifted our focus to growing fresh quality produce all year round and starting our own freight line. This called for our expansion of farmland to ensure water security and the ability to grow special varieties of common vegetables.

Today

All this has brought us to today – now growing in 4 regions of Australia, owning in excess of 3000 acres of land, and selling over 7000T of fresh produce every year.
